Current Issues
Shaking Up Emergency Management

2025, the current administration has ordered a review of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and indicated it may dissolve the agency. FEMA has been under funded and under staffed for years.

Regardless of where you are on the fence regarding FEMA and its operational effectiveness, you likely identify that we need a federal level responsibility capability.  The reasons are significant.

Our nation has over these past few decades been dealing with disasters and crisis’s that have stretched the boundaries of our response capabilities. We are just pointing out that as responders, we should all keep an eye on how targeting our national emergency management system will likely affect us all.  Even right down to the local levels. No matter where you sit on the food chain, these types of decisions will impact you.

Keep aware of where this all goes. Keep your dedication toward responding and helping in the big picture alive.
